Roadtrip 2019 Fall: Vancouver - Richland - Twin Falls - Provo - Kanab - Yucca Valley - Paso Robles - Sacramento - Brookings - Yachats - Cannon Beach - Vancouver

Day 8 - Lick Wash Canyon

Foraging Utah is off to a ridiculously slow start this year. Thank goodness we have this breath of fresh air right in Kanab. Our pastry centre for the next month. We need not go farther – but we do have to get here early before the cases are bare!

Canyon entanglement.

The run-in down Lick Wash leads to its canyon.

What an incredible place it is!

The World-Famous Impossible Ponderosa leans its famously impossible lean.

And into the slot they go.

Slots make you feel small – and we are here all on our own.

A grand old ponderosa.

Somehow these trees, now monstrous and mature, were able to find a foothold in the canyon bottom.

That's Wendy, waaay down the far end of the narrows.

Fall is pink this year.

Canyon in all her grandeur.

Once again, a revival of an old tradition:  The Mystery Poo of the Day.

Looking for the perfect snack perch.

There are always barriers to overcome.

Sometimes, the world's smallest Sheltie needs a boost.

No one messes with this longhorn.
